Connect the Claude app

Add quickS3 as a custom connector in Claude on the web or desktop, choose the roles it gets, and see why browsing works before transfers do.

Owner Admin Member AI user
  1. In Claude (web, desktop, or Cowork), open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it quickS3 and paste the server address from the AI agents page in quickS3: https://quicks3.com/mcp.
  3. Click Connect. A quickS3 tab opens.
  4. Untick the roles Claude doesn’t need, pick how long the access lasts, and select Authorize. Approve an AI client explains each part.
  5. In a chat, try: “List my quickS3 connections.”

Browsing works, transfers may not

In a chat, Claude can list your buckets and files, and create share links you can open yourself. Downloading or uploading a file needs the client to run a command like curl, which a chat often can’t do. When that happens, Claude will list the file but fail to fetch it. That’s a limit of the chat, not a problem with your access.

To move files, use a client that can run commands, such as Claude Code, or the quickS3 web app. Don’t paste download or upload links into the chat as a workaround: anyone who sees them can use them until they expire.

Disconnect

Select Revoke next to Claude on the AI agents page in quickS3. That cuts off access. Removing the connector in Claude’s settings is a separate step that only tidies up Claude.
