September 2026

  1. New

    Collect files with file requests#

Send a link that lets anyone upload files into one folder, without an account and without seeing what's already there. You choose how long it works, the largest file, the total size, and the number of files. Each upload is recorded in the audit log.

  2. New

    Upload without delete#

Delete is now its own permission, separate from Write. Give someone Write without Delete and they can upload and overwrite files but never remove them. The Uploader role template leaves Delete off.

  3. Improved

    Guided first connection#

New accounts go straight to adding a connection, with a link to your provider's key guide. Saving checks the key before it's stored, and takes you to your buckets in one click.

  4. Improved

    Faster bucket lists#

The Buckets page, the bucket picker, and AI clients now reuse each connection's bucket list for up to 15 minutes instead of asking your provider every time. Editing a connection or creating a bucket refreshes it straight away.

  5. Improved

AI clients see your buckets in one step#

When an AI client lists your connections, it now gets each connection's buckets too, so it can pick where to work without an extra round trip. A slow or failing provider no longer blocks the others.

  6. Milestone

Team plan and 14-day free trial#

Every new organisation starts with a 14-day trial, no card needed. The Team plan is $19 a month for up to 10 users. Only active members count: pending invitations and AI clients are free. Owners manage the subscription from Settings.

  7. New

Keep an organisation's data in the EU#

When you create an organisation you can choose the European Union region. Its storage credentials, settings, and audit trail then stay in the EU.

  8. Milestone

    Documentation site#

Full documentation for Owners, Admins, Members, and AI client users, with quickstarts, setup guides for every provider, and a limits reference. The question mark in the app header opens it.

  9. Improved

    Better on phones#

File names stay visible in the bucket listing on small screens, and the header and tabs fit on one row. The People page also has a refresh button to pick up invitations as they are sent.

  10. Milestone

    Connect AI agents over MCP#

Claude, Claude Code, Codex, and other MCP clients can now browse, upload, and download through quickS3. You approve each client and choose which roles it gets, so it can never reach more than you allow. Every agent action is recorded in the audit log.

  11. New

    Deny rules#

Roles can now deny access as well as allow it. A deny always wins, which makes it easy to open a bucket to a team while keeping one folder off limits.

  12. Improved

    Redesigned app#

A flat tab bar under the header, cleaner pages without nested boxes, and colours that mean something: green for success, red only for errors and destructive actions.

  13. New

    Admin role#

Admins manage people, invitations, roles, the audit log, and connection tests without touching storage keys or billing. Owners can also turn off uploads through quickS3's servers for a connection, so files only ever go straight to your storage.

August 2026

  1. New

    Multiple organisations#

Create or join several organisations with one account and switch between them from the header. Roles can now also be limited to a single connection.

  2. Improved

New audit log view and clearer provider errors#

The audit log is now a table you can scan, with filters always visible and a detail view for every event. When your storage provider refuses a request, quickS3 tells you what went wrong and how to fix it.

  3. New

Large file uploads you can resume#

Big files upload in parts, straight to your storage, up to about 5 TB each. If the tab closes or the network drops, pick the file again and the upload carries on where it stopped.

  4. New

    Sign in with a password#

Alongside email links and Google, you can now set a password on your account. New passwords are only accepted after the email address is verified.

  5. Improved

Direct uploads up to 5 GiB#

Uploads now go straight from your browser to your storage whenever the provider allows it, which is faster and raises the single-file limit to 5 GiB.

  6. New

    Create buckets from the app#

Owners can create a new bucket on a connection without leaving quickS3.

June 2026

  1. Milestone

    ezS3 is now quickS3#

New name, new home at quickS3.com. Your account, organisations, and connections moved over unchanged.

March 2026

  1. New

Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob, and Wasabi#

Three more providers join AWS S3, Cloudflare R2, Backblaze B2, DigitalOcean Spaces, and MinIO.

February 2026

  1. New

Upload limits and automatic CORS setup#

Owners can cap upload size per connection. Where the provider allows it, quickS3 sets up the CORS rule that browser uploads need for you.

  2. Improved

    Provider-specific connection forms#

Adding a connection now asks only for what your provider needs, and quickS3 tests the keys before saving so mistakes show up right away.

January 2026

  1. Milestone

    Public beta#

quickS3 (then ezS3) opened to everyone as a free beta.

  2. New

    Google sign-in and file previews#

Sign in with your Google account, and preview images, videos, PDFs, and text files without downloading them.

  3. New

    Audit log#

Every sign-in, upload, download, delete, and permission change is recorded, with filters and export.

  4. New

    Uploads and folders#

Upload files from the browser, and create or delete folders.

  5. New

    Browse and download#

Open any bucket you have access to, move through its folders, and download files.

  6. Milestone

    Connections, roles, and permissions#

Connect your S3-compatible storage once, then give each person access to exactly the buckets and folders they need through roles.

  7. Milestone

    Accounts, organisations, and invitations#

The first version of quickS3: create an account with an email link, set up your organisation, and invite your team.
